The area around the Brussels-North station has always fascinated me.
It’s a place in a constant state of construction and deconstruction, in a way it resembles a desert where a human being passes occasionally.

When I walk through the construction sites, I can’t help but wonder what identity they are about to form. Old apartment blocks are renewed by buildings with uniform facades.

Thanks to the ample and organic forms of the clothing designs of Lili Schreiber, playfulness is added to the portrayed situations. The new local landscape’s eclectic aspect is enhanced by the unusual appearance of the colourful silhouettes. More importantly, I wanted to capture the current soul of a place that is rapidly evolving. Integrating the local inhabitations in the frame allows to embody the human part of the current identity of the area.
